We are currently on site at Drill Hall, a former military drill hall and a front ‘Gatehouse’ building accessed on Mile End Road.
We are converting the existing two-level Drill Hall into a four-level office facility by introducing new lower and upper mezzanine levels and raising the existing main roof to accommodate a new second floor with the existing first floor being retained.
The new residential apartments which is a conversion and extension of the front ‘Gatehouse’ building is to have an additional fourth floor added and the internal floor plans extended to provide seven new apartments together with a ground floor cafe and circulation areas.
The project is directly opposite Stepney Green Underground Station, on a main bus route as well as being across the road from a retail park. We have had to carefully manage any logistics and deliveries to this project in this busy suburban area. We have had input from local stakeholders into the Construction Phase Plan and have a risk mitigation strategy in place in delivering this new facility to the local area.
