AMCM Group is delighted to have been awarded the contract for the construction of a new two form entry Primary School within the new and prestigious Royal Wharf development in London’s Royal Docks. The new school will accommodate up to 450 reception to year six pupils from Royal Wharf and the wider community of Newham.

The new ‘free school’ is being constructed right at the heart of what is already a thriving community and is to be operated by The Britannia Education Trust who currently run nearby Britannia Village Primary School. The new school will include a nursery school offering part time places to 60 children aged three to four years and is set to achieve ESFA Standards.

Enabling works started in April 2019 and is due to complete ready for occupation by the pupils for the start of the September 2020 academic year. AMCM Group is keen to contribute throughout the build through our Social Value offering; the scheme is also registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme with a target to achieve Performance Beyond Compliance.

The school will make a huge contribution to the community at Royal Wharf which has many residents with young families living there.

Jon Wardle, CEO, said: “We are extremely pleased to be working with Ballymore and Oxley, Mott MacDonald and The Britannia Education Trust to deliver this school in the heart of the Royal Wharf community – a school of which we can all be extremely proud.”
